Next Generation Ministries

We believe that the church belongs to all of us and every generation should be represented in the life of our community. We are committed to building an intergenerational community.

Welcome,

children and families

We believe that God loves every child, and we hope each child will feel Claremont UMC is a loving place where they are nurtured and accepted just as they are.

Nursery care is available every Sunday for infants and toddlers in the childcare room. Our youngest children may check in the nursery before worship or during the service. Our childcare attendants are trained and background screened.

After the Children’s Moment, and as we pass the peace, children from preschool through sixth grade are invited to join Sunday school in our beautiful classrooms or continue to worship in the pews with their families, as they prefer.

Special activities are planned for children and families throughout the year, including summer Peace Camp, Fall Festival, Advent Workshop, and Parents’ Night Out.

Questions about children and Claremont UMC may be sent to children@claremontumc.org

Welcome, Youth

CUMC Youth is a safe and welcoming space for all young people from 6th to 12th grade.

We meet most Sunday afternoons from September through June. We share a meal, discuss our role in the world as Christians, and play a game or two.

CUMC Youth Group has a long tradition of summer service trips. We have participated in service with the Sierra Service Project, Keep Tahoe Blue, and our connectional church in Alaska. We aim to be open hearts through serving, expanding worlds through experience, and fostering connection and community.

We are always open and welcoming new faces! If you have any questions or want to contact us, email sara@claremontumc.org.

Welcome,

Young Adults
